michael krasowitz artworkMichaels work is about self discovery. How can art function as a vehicle to manifest understanding of a greater consiousness then the sum of our day to day experiences? Can art prove that there is always a barrier to cross, that not everything has been done already? And if so, if we have just begun to scratch the surface of what consiousness is capable of, what do we make of a culture of cynical irony, can we agree that this is a manifestation of negative opportunism, and get on with the hard work of searching for a positive future? Optimism and hope are the natural extensions of the reduction of self importance. Paradoxes function as counterbalances, definitions have to become flexible extensions in a theory where there is no fixed objective truth. |
